This is what festival lineups in Ireland looked like 10 years ago
WE’RE HEADING INTO festival season with music fans across Ireland currently making plans to head to the likes of Electric Picnic, Body & Soul, Longitude and more.
But what did festivals/big gigs in Ireland look like ten years ago? Let’s take a look back…
In 2007, Electric Picnic featured performances from the likes of Sonic Youth, The Beastie Boys, LCD Soundsystem, Bjork and Jarvis Cocker.
As well as a heap of indie acts. Hands up who remembers The Polyphonic Spree?
Full price tickets cost €220 and capacity was just 32,500. God be with the days.

Oxegen was still going strong in 2007 and was headlined by Snow Patrol, The Killers, Muse and Razorlight.
How very 2000s of them.
It also featured performances from Daft Punk, Kings of Leon, Arcade Fire, Scissor Sisters, Avril Lavigne and My Chemical Romance. The late, great Amy Winehouse was also due to perform but withdrew at the last minute.
Meanwhile, Slane was headlined by The Rolling Stones.
And support came from The Charlatans and The Hold Steady. So now.

Trinity Ball was seriously quality.
CSS, Ash, Aslan, Justice, Delorentos.
Would still pay to see them all, tbh.
